October; “Pop Up Choir”
Retired Head of Music at the Grove, Ken Sterling will be leading Market Drayton’s first “Pop Up Choir” in the run up to the weekend of the Drayton Arts Festival. Please join the choir! All welcome! No auditions! No ability or age restrictions! No need to read music. Rehearsals held on Tuesdays throughout October at 7.30pm; 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th Oct. at the Methodist Church Schoolroom, Clive Road, Market Drayton.
1st October 2014 to 3rd November 2014; U3A Photographic Group, Market Drayton
A photo display by our groups members, The subject is "Around Market Drayton" at the library display area.
30th October to 2nd November; Poetry and Prose Exhibition
There will be an ongoing exhibition of prose and poetry displayed in shops and businesses around the town from 1st October. This event includes a Poetry and Prose writing Competition, the winner of which will be announced at an “Open Mic” event in the Mouse Room at the Red Lion on Saturday 1st November. (If you are interested in entering, pick up a form at the library in Market Drayton)
20th October to 2nd November; Photographic Exhibition
Whitchurch Photographic Society Photographic Exhibition of Market Drayton and the surrounding area at the Festival Drayton Centre.
30th Oct to 2nd November; Open Studios
Throughout the Arts Festival weekend, local artists will be opening their studios.
You will have the chance to enter places that are normally closed to the public, whether it’s a studio or even possibly at the bottom of someone’s garden. It’s a great opportunity to meet the artists and maybe buy something totally unique.
