Artists & Performers 2016 – Friday 28th October

Whitchurch Photographic Society Exhibition: 9.30am – 4.30pm at Festival Drayton Centre.
An exhibition by local photographers. (Also open same time Saturday.)

Exhibition: AMDRAMS Over the Years: 9.30am – 5pm at Market Drayton Library.
Memorabillia dating back to the 1960s recalling performances from times gone by: “Old ones, new ones, loved ones, forgotton ones”  (Also on Saturday 9.30am – 1pm).

Jake Evans, Storyteller: 10am to 2pm at the Youth Centre, Drayton Grove.
Winner of National Young Storyteller of the year 2014, Jake Evans entertains, educates and informs youngsters of all ages through stories and the spoken word. Drop in to the Youth Centre for impromptu performances between 10am and 2pm.

Schools Calendar Painting Exhibition: 10am to 3pm at the Youth Centre, Drayton Grove.
Organised by Market Drayton Art Club, this is an opportunity to see artwork by children from 13 local schools. Presentations by the Mayor to be held on Saturday at 2pm, and work will go forward for the 2017 calendar.

Exhibition of houses and estates around Market Drayton: 10am – 3pm at Market Drayton Museum, 53 Shropshire Street.
A collection of artefacts and archives showing the history of the Town, its trades and professions and items of curiosity.

Family Event: 1.30pm – 3pm at Fairfields Estate:
A Halloween themed fun and crafting afternoon for children and adults.

Martial Arts Demonstration: 5.30pm – 6.30pm at The Parish Rooms, Church Street, Market Drayton.
The Ataru Shotokan Karate Club train in Market Drayton and Prees. Come and get a flavour of what is on offer from this popular sport and see what is contained in a typical mixed training session.

The Jacobi Chorale and English Pro Musica Ensemble: 7.30pm – 9.30pm at St Marys Church.
The Jacobi Chorale, an early music choir, under the musical direction of Paul Nevins, will be joined by musicians from English Pro Musica. The concert will centre on the Italian Baroque Composer Pergolesi and will include his famous “Stabat Mater”.

The Empty Stage: 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Festival Drayton Centre.
A murder mystery by Purple Dreams. Watch the drama unfold as the show director attempts to uncover which of the actors is responsible for the murder of the leading lady!

The Costa Del Sol No.1 Elvis Tribute Act: 7.30pm – 10.30pm at the Royal British Legion.
Refreshments; licensed bar. All proceeds to “Help for Heroes”
