Drayton Arts Fest

DraytonArtsFest is produced by a group of volunteers. Events will be held in venues in and around the town, such as Festival Drayton, St. Mary’s church, the Library, local pubs, cafes and shops. Many of the events will be free, but in some cases a fee will be charged to assist with costs. The brochure of the Festival programme will be published in September with details of booking arrangements. The online programme will be updated regularly.

We have two fabulous live music events showcasing local performers this year. An admission free 'Candelight Organ, Piano and Saxophone Recital' in St Mary's Church on Friday 28th Oct at 7pm, featuring Harry Hitchen and special guests from Chester, Raewyn Bailey and Helen Southhall, who will perform an exciting mix of historic Classical and Modern Jazz pieces. Secondly our local choirs, A Choired Taste and Little Voices will be performing 'Songs from the Shows' in the Main Hall at Grove School on Saturday 29th Oct at 7.30 pm Entry £5.00.
In view of the current rising costs of living, we have chosen to keep our event prices as low as possible to enable access for all. Any costs listed are to cover venue hire or materials required for art and craft workshops. However donations would be very welcome to help us with organising events for next year's Art Festival which will be our 10th Anniversary!!

I had meeting with Sarah Clarke, Head of the Art Department at Grove School about the Drayton Arts Festival helping out with raising money next year to replace the pottery kiln which is now broken beyond repair. Sarah showed me this and I would like to share it with as many people as possible. What an achievement!
