Drayton Arts Fest

DraytonArtsFest is produced by a group of volunteers. Events will be held in venues in and around the town, such as Festival Drayton, St. Mary’s church, the Library, local pubs, cafes and shops. Many of the events will be free, but in some cases a fee will be charged to assist with costs. The brochure of the Festival programme will be published in September with details of booking arrangements. The online programme will be updated regularly.

A big thank you to all of you who have bought a copy of the lovely 2020 Market Drayton Schools Calendar this year. So far, we have almost reached our target to present at least another £1300 to local schools. The Calendars are still on sale at the Festival Drayont Centre at £5,00 as a gift for family and friends.
Now we have the first date to put in your Calendar. Saturday January 25th at Grove School at 7.30pm. A very special Quartet of Choirs Concert is being performed by our fantastic local choirs Little Voices, Fauls Singers, A Choired Taste and the Stoke Male Voice Choir in support of our aim to provided free entry to events for family and children being planned for tbe 2020 Drayton ArtsFest during the last weekend in October next year.

A very big thank you to Jayne, Brenda, Mike, Kath and Howard for all their fantastic help in hosting the Line Dance Social at Grove School last night. Many thanks to everyone who came. A fantastic total of £430 was raised for the Drayton ArtsFest fund which will help us to keep admission free for our all family and children's events again next year.

THANK YOU FROM THE DRAYTON ARTSFEST TEAM!!!
Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who came to support the ArtsFestival Events over the weekend despite the terrible weather on Friday and Saturday. However, we were delighted that several of our events enjoyed record audiences - over 500 people and children visited the Adult Art and School Calendar paintings Exhibition over the weekend.
Sadly, the Creative Drayton Event and Gingerbreadman hunt suffered very badly on Saturday because of the weather and the big rugby match probably did not help!!
This was such a shame as there were many lovely stalls in the Beacon Centre with fantastic items and gifts for sale, plus an amazing demonstration of sugarcraft and Tracey Lowe with her family members, serving delicious homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes all day.
As always, we also need to thank our growing number of local community groups who host an amazing collection of events each year including the local Archery, Martial Arts and Phoenix Centre groups contributing for the first time this year. We hope that everyone who came enjoyed themselves.
Finally, through the marvellous fundraising efforts of the hosts of our fringe events, a grant from the Town Council and generous public donations at the Festival this year, the ArtsFest team will now be able to start planning for next year's Drayton Arts Festival during the last weekend in October 2020
